Tonight, we went to Chef Geoffs for dinner and their "every night HAPPY HOUR". While I don't approve of their by- the-glass wine list, their food is fantastic. When I say, I don't approve, I really DONT APPROVE. Chad and I were sitting there watching the bartender pouring one old bottle of red into a newer bottle of red so they didn't "waste the bottle" or maybe "waste space." Totally disgusting. I don't mean to be snobby and I know Chad and I can come across that way sometimes, especially when it comes to wine, but open bottles improperly stored, age poorly, especially when it is cheap wine to begin with. Why would you pour the wines together? A good wine with a bad wine makes what? A mediocre wine and you can charge a high price? Outrageous! Chad just orders the martini or the special 32oz Super Mug at $7.95 which is an incredible deal for a beer and I always order a Rose of Cabernet (S.A. Mulderbosch)...where you can't usually go wrong. The restaurant definitely has some kinks to work out but is a nice place to sit and hang out.
Watch out for the quasi manager Tim. Generally not respected by the staff of the restaurant nor any patron that catches his off/disturbed attitude. Other than the couple off areas, this is a generally decent place to have a drink and maybe a snack/dinner.
